Peek inside the new Limelight Boulder

• The hotel, at 1295 University Ave., has 252 rooms and 26,000 square feet of event space, including a 15,000-square-foot ballroom.
• The hotel was developed in partnership with the City of Boulder and CU to host academic and research conferences, as well as events for nonprofits through a city fund paid for with the accommodation tax generated by the hotel.

The vibe: The all-electric hotel will have "a bright, contemporary aesthetic," according to a release from Limelight.

• It will include a CU bookstore, a restaurant, a lobby bar, a heated pool and a hot tub.
• The layout will include floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor venues to take advantage of the Flatirons view.

Stop by: The hotel is offering an introductory rate of $303 per night — a nod to Boulder's area code — along with a $30 nightly dining credit on bookings from September through April 2026.

• For football fans, there's also a special game-day rate for those looking to cheer on the Buffs. There is a two-night minimum.

The big picture: The Limelight and the already open Moxy Hotel across the street mark a new era for the University Hill.

• The hope is the two hotels will keep the area vibrant year-round, even during the summer months when The Hill has historically struggled without student life.
