It's a big weekend for the fine arts, with both the Boulder Symphony and the Boulder Ballet performing.
Zoom in: 🩰 Queen of Hearts, Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St.: A twist on Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by the Boulder Ballet. Shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday start at $25.
🎻 Beethoven "Symphony No. 9," Grace Commons, 1820 15th St.: The season finale for the Boulder Symphony is Sunday in collaboration with the Boulder Symphony Chorus. General admission tickets are $30.
Yes, but: What if your fancy pants are in the wash? Well, we've got you covered … in animal hair:
💩 Let's Doo It, Boulder open space: The city and county of Boulder are partnering this weekend to remind people to pick up after their pets. Visitors to certain sites can get free dog swag, including a "Let's DOO It" bandana.
- Sites are Pella Crossing on Saturday and Dry Creek Trailhead, Chautauqua Trailhead, Coot Lake Trailhead and Columbia Cemetery on Sunday.
😺 Understanding Cat Behavior, NoBo Library, 4500 13th St.: Uniquely Cats Veterinary Center will teach you how to read your cat's body language and communication and walk you through the "Feline Grimace Scale." There will also be storytime with guest Bindi the cat.
- The event is free, but registration is required because Bindi can only stand so many people. Same, really.
🐐 Halloumi cheese class plus goat tour, Art of Cheese at Briar Gate Farm, 11227 N. 66th St.: A certified cheese professional will host a hands-on class to make this Greek grilling cheese.
- You'll also get a chance to meet the dairy goats and their newest spring kids. Class runs from 1-3:30pm Saturday, and tickets are $75.
