Graduation week to snarl Boulder traffic

• Steer clear of Colorado Avenue, 28th and Folsom streets between Colorado Avenue and around Canyon, and Broadway between Baseline Road and downtown.
• Drivers should be aware that many attendees coming in from neighboring communities like Broomfield and Denver will be using westbound U.S. 36 to Foothills Parkway on Thursday morning.
• Over the weekend, avoid roads cutting through campus like Regent Drive and Euclid Avenue.
• On Saturday, note that Naropa's ceremony may result in heavy traffic on Arapahoe Avenue between Folsom Street and Broadway.

Also, remember that popular areas like downtown Boulder, Chautauqua and University Hill may be more crowded throughout the week, and parking will be harder to find.

• Though it's not as bad as move-in week, you'll want to avoid Target.
• On the other hand, if you need a couch, now is a great time to be on the lookout.
