A Las Vegas sheriff said on Friday that a "preliminary report" would be provided to the public regarding the investigation of the Las Vegas mass shooting, but that there has been no discovery of a motive behind the shooter's actions. He also said he does not anticipate charges being brought against the shooter's girlfriend.
- The sheriff said the report will reveal Stephen Paddock's intent leading up to the event, including venues and locations he researched, as well as internet searches for SWAT tactics.
- Police also discovered "numerous" child pornography photographs on his computers.
- 851 people were injured in the shooting, a much larger number than was originally believed.
