Jared Kushner is heading to Mexico, along with State Department and National Security Council staff, to meet with President Enrique Peña Nieto and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Luis Vigegaray, per a senior administration official.
- The news comes as the U.S. and Mexico negotiate over NAFTA, and after Peña Nieto canceled a White House visit tentatively planned for this month over a confrontational phone call with President Trump.
- The official said the delegations would "explore ways to expand cooperation across a range of bilateral issues, including security, immigration, trade, and economics."
