The Humane Society of the United States' CEO Wayne Pacelle resigned today, according to the Washington Post's Danielle Paquette.
Background: Pacelle was accused by three women of sexual harassment on Thursday, the Washington Post reported, and he denied all of them to the New York Times on Friday morning. Per the Times, seven Humane Society board members resigned "in protest of a decision to keep him in the job."
- Paquette also tweeted on Friday evening that Pacelle was replaced by Kitty Block as CEO, who is president of the Humane Society's global affiliate, the Humane Society International.
