At a DOJ briefing with top law enforcement leaders, acting FBI deputy director David Bowdich addressed reports that the bureau did not follow proper procedures after receiving complaints about the Parkland shooter, admitting — for the first time — that the agency made a mistake.
"Now let me be clear, there was a mistake made, we know that, but it is our job to make sure that we do everything in our power to ensure that does not happen again."
