The Department of Justice on Friday said it will re-try Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez in a bribery and corruption case, which ended two months ago after a jury failed to reach a verdict, POLITICO reports.
The backdrop: The senator, who's up for re-election this year, has pleaded not guilty in a bribery scheme. He allegedly accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars and gifts from co-defendant Dr. Salomen Melgen.
