Brazil’s federal police on Monday recommended that prosecutors put President Michel Temer on trial for charges of corruption, money laundering and criminal association, reports the Associated Press.
What's next: The attorney general reportedly has 15 days to decide whether to carryout a case against Temer. Congress would also be mandated to vote to allow a trial and suspend Temer, whose term ends in December. Last year, Temer survived a key vote in Congress that prevented him from going to trial for corruption charges.
