A group of New York City investors and tech entrepreneurs have signed an open letter to Trump opposing the recent executive order on travel, but one name is missing: Oscar Health CEO Joshua Kushner—the brother of Trump's son-in-law.
No one from Thrive Capital, Kushner's venture capital firm, has signed the letter either, as Forbes points out. Large tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Yahoo, which have offices in New York City, are also missing.
The letter was put together by tech:NYC, a advocacy group for the tech industry in New York City, whose members include local startups, large companies, and investors.
Between the lines: While Kushner has behaved fairly independently from his brother's family and the Trump administration thus far, it's not surprising to see that it's still a difficult position for him.
