Finland's parliament on Tuesday approved Sanna Marin, leader of the Social Democratic Party, as prime minister. Marin, 34, is now the world's youngest prime minister and Finland's third female leader, the New York Times and Reuters report.
The big picture: Marin leads a coalition government consisting of five parties, four of which are led by women. Of the five women in top Cabinet positions, four are under 35.
