A shooting near Indiana’s Ball State University reportedly took place overnight at an off-campus party leaving 7 people injured, local NBC affiliate WTHR reports.
What they're saying: Police are saying an argument broke out among non-students at 12:45 am EST that led to the violence, however there was no immediate threat to the university's campus, reports CNN.
Details:
- 3 victims sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds, and 6 of the 7 victims are still being hospitalized, per the Star Press.
- VaShaun Harnett allegedly shot the victims, and has been arrested for attempted murder, per the Star Press. The university confirmed Harnett is not a student.
