Two-thirds of the undergraduate student body at Georgetown University voted in favor of raising student dues, allocating to funds to reparations for descendants of enslaved people.

Details: Student fees will go up by $27.50 in the fall of 2020, and are expected to raise $400,000 for the descendants of slaves the university sold in the 19th century to help pay off debt, reports the Washington Post. This would be the first time an institution has paid for slave reparations, per the Washington Post.
