State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert is being nominated to replace Nikki Haley as ambassador to the United Nations, President Trump said today.
The big picture: Nauert is a former Fox News anchor and correspondent, and had little foreign policy experience before joining the administration as the State Department spokesperson. But she's "had the strong support" of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, according to Bloomberg, which first reported that Nauert accepted the nomination.
