Industrial cybersecurity firm Dragos raises $37 million

The industrial cybersecurity firm Dragos completed its Series B funding with a $37 million investment from several different sources, Fortune's Robert Hackett reported.

Why it matters: Dragos specializes in securing the hardware that runs power plants, factories and dams. The company provided foundational research on the malware known as Crash Override or Industroyer that was used to briefly black out Kiev in 2016.

Details: The investment includes:

$21 million from Canaan Partners
$15 million from previous investors AllegisCyber, DataTribe and Energy Impact Partners
$1 million from industrial sector companies Emerson, Schweitzer Engineering Labs and National Grid's venture capital arm
