Revolution Ventures raising $200 million for third fund

Revolution, the Washington, D.C.-based investment firm co-founded by Steve Case, is raising $200 million for its third early-stage investment fund, according to a federal filing.

Why it matters: Revolution, which also raises later-stage funds, has been a vocal advocate for investing in startups outside of major tech hubs, even though many of its traditional venture deals are for East Coast companies.
