In a Washington Post op-ed, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, said journalist Jamal Khashoggi's killing was ordered at the "highest levels" of the the Saudi government.

The big picture: Erdogan is not letting Saudi Arabia's responsibility of Khashoggi slip out of the news cycle. Many questions, he said, still need to be answered. As the Saudi government investigates, Erdogan is revealing Turkey's findings. Earlier Friday, a Turkish official said Khashoggi's body was "dissolved" in acid.

One key quote: “We know that the perpetrators are among the 18 suspects detained in Saudi Arabia. We also know that those individuals came to carry out their orders: Kill Khashoggi and leave. Finally, we know that the order to kill Khashoggi came from the highest levels of the Saudi government.”
