Bob Woodward's book "Fear," which officially hit shelves on Tuesday, sold more than 750,000 copies in the first day, the Washington Post reports.

Why it matters: This makes it the fastest-selling adult book in three years, according to the Post. After a newly ordered ninth printing, the publisher will have printed more than 1,150,000 hardcover copies.
