SoftBank leads $300 million round in car rental startup Getaround

Getaround, a San Francisco-based peer-to-peer car rental startup, has closed a $300 million round led by SoftBank Group, with existing backers like Toyota also participating.

The bottom line: This deal isn't surprising given Getaround's partnership with Uber, one of SoftBank's largest investments.
