Getaround, a San Francisco-based peer-to-peer car rental startup, has closed a $300 million round led by SoftBank Group, with existing backers like Toyota also participating.
- Axios previously reported on SoftBank's plans.
The bottom line: This deal isn't surprising given Getaround's partnership with Uber, one of SoftBank's largest investments.
The story has been corrected to show that the investment came from SoftBank Group, not its Vision Fund.
