Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison has won the Democratic primary election for state attorney general. This comes just days after he faced domestic violence allegations from his ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan.
The backdrop: Monahan's son alleged in a lengthy Facebook post that his mother has a video showing Ellison physically assaulting her in a bedroom. Ellison denied accusations on Sunday, saying “This video does not exist because I never behaved in this way." The accusations have not been independently validated, but the DNC said it's reviewing allegations, NPR reports.
