Sen. Tim Kaine: Trump is "stoking" racial divisions

"There has been a concerted effort that he has been engaged in to divide people including dividing them based on race. And no where was that more obvious than in the aftermath of Charlottesville."

Trump spoke out about Sunday's Unite the Right rally, which will be held in the nation's capital this year, tweeting Saturday morning: "The riots in Charlottesville a year ago resulted in senseless death and division. We must come together as a nation. I condemn all types of racism and acts of violence. Peace to ALL Americans!"

The president stirred controversy following last year's rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, arguing that "both sides" were to blame for the destructive riots that resulted in a woman's death.
