Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto rejected President Trump's suggestion last night that Mexico will pay for the border wall — responding on Twitter that "Mexico will never pay for a wall. Not now, not ever," per The Guardian.
The big picture: The new clash comes at a time when negotiations between both countries and Canada about the NAFTA agreement seem to have stalled. Trump's renewed hardline on immigration could damage his own promise earlier this year to revitalize the trade agreement.
