State Department's anti-ISIS office for Syria will remain open

The State Department plans to keep open a special unit overseeing the counterterrorism fight against ISIS in Syria at least for six more months, reports the AP, undercutting President Trump's call to wrap up U.S. involvement in the country as soon as possible.

Yes, but: On Friday, State officials told Axios that the administration will slash funding for counterterrorism, civil society and governance programs in northwestern Syria following a review undertaken at Trump's request.
