Rep. Lou Barletta, a Trump favorite, has clinched a victory in Pennsylvania's Republican Senate primaries, according to the New York Times.

Why it matters: The incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey's seat isn't particularly vulnerable, despite being one of 10 red-state Democratic senators. Pennsylvania is battling it out for several congressional spots, with a wave of women challenging sitting lawmakers.

The National Republican Senate Committee said: “Lou has established himself as tireless advocate for Pennsylvania families, and his strong record of success will undoubtedly lead him to victory over Bob Casey and his history of flip-flopping on the issues that matter to Pennsylvanians.”

Other Pennsylvania primary results, per the Times:

  • Scott Wagner has won the Republican primary for Governor and will face Democratic incumbent Tom Wolf.
  • David Torres won the Republican primary for PA House District 2 and will face
Brendan F. Boyle who won the Democratic primary.
