First Lady Melania Trump underwent a "successful" kidney surgery Monday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, according to a statement from her communications director, Stephanie Grisham.
The details: Trump, 48, had an embolization procedure and is expected to remain in the hospital for the rest of the week. Her office said there were no complications. Embolization procedures are used to reduce or cut off the blood supply to an area of the body, often to treat an abnormal growth, such as a tumor.
