Many Americans (78%) believe that teachers aren't being paid enough and 50% of them say they'd be willing to pay more taxes in order to give teachers a raise, according to research from the Associated Press.
The state of play: Teachers across the country are walking out of the classroom with demands of higher pay and deeper budget allocations going into education from the state level.
