  • Barzah Research and Development Center: Just northeast of central Damascus and a few miles from Douma. General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said last night that "this military facility was a Syrian center for the research, development, production and testing of chemical and biological warfare technology."
  • Him Shinshar Chemical Weapons Storage Site: About 15 miles west of Homs. It was the primary location of Syrian sarin and precursor production equipment, as described by Dunford.
  • Him Shinshar Chemical Weapons Bunker: Near the above weapons storage site and west of Homs. It "contained both a chemical weapons equipment storage facility and an important command post," said Dunford.
