More than 250 people come forward as victims of Larry Nassar
The count is now 265 victims who have come forward against Larry Nassar, according to the Associated Press' Josh Lederman
Why it matters: That's a much bigger number than the already massive 160+ women who came forward.
- The latest in the Nassar case: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered a criminal investigation of the gymnastics training facility in Texas, the Karolyi Ranch, per the AP. Several of Nassar's victims said he abused them at the ranch.
- Abbott said: "Those athletes, as well as all Texans, deserve to know that no stone is left unturned to ensure that the allegations are thoroughly vetted and the perpetrators and enablers of any such misconduct are brought to justice. The people of Texas demand, and the victims deserve, nothing less."
