Trump admin ends registry for mental health, substance abuse programs

The contract for a national registry that provides public information about "evidence-based mental health and substance use interventions and programs" has been discontinued, the Hill reports.

Why it matters: The National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices, organized by the Department of Health and Human Services, was founded in 1997 and is intended to "identify and implement" best practices surrounding mental health and substance abuse.
