There is a power outage in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center amid the annual Consumer Electronics Show.
Irony: Though power outages are universally inconvenient, it's particularly so for a huge trade show focused on gadgets and other technology that requires electricity — not to mention all the presentation stages, company booths, and other activities halted by this.
Some exhibitors are showing a sense of humor about the situation:
Update: Around 1:09pm Pacific Time, the CES tweeted that the power has been restored.
In a statement, conference organizers say condensation from yesterday’s rainfall appears to have impacted a power transformer.
