Mueller taps cyber prosecutor for Russia probe
Ryan Dickey, a veteran cyber prosecutor, has been added to special counsel Robert Mueller's team, according to the Washington Post.
Why it matters: Dickey is "the first publicly known member of the team specializing solely in cyber issues," the Post reports. An important part of Mueller's investigation revolves around cybersecurity: the hacking of DNC and Clinton campaign emails by Russia.
- One more thing: If Mueller can prove that Trump campaign officials coordinated with Russia over the hacks to influence the 2016 election, he could possibly seek a charge for "conspiracy to violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act," per the Post.
