President Trump is advising investors who lost money during the market slip that followed an erroneous report from ABC News' Brian Ross to file suit. Ross reported that Michael Flynn was prepared to testify Trump told him to contact the Russians during his campaign, but later amended the report to say Trump told Flynn to contact the Russians during the transition, to discuss ISIS.
Why it matters: That false report caused a frenzy in the markets and the media. Trump will take any opportunity to question the accuracy and legitimacy of the mainstream media, and this is as good an opportunity as any. ABC News has suspended Ross for four weeks.
