Manhattan's district attorney is expected to approach a grand jury as early as next week for an indictment for Harvey Weinstein, according to NBC's News 4 New York.
Why it matters: On Friday, the NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said they were gathering evidence around a credible 2010 rape claim against Weinstein. Boyce told reporters if Weinstein "was still in New York, and it was recent, we'd go right away and make the arrest...but we're talking about a 7-year-old case. And we have to move forward gathering evidence first."
