Garrison Keillor fans threaten to pull support from MPR

Garrison Keillor fans are threatening to pull support from Minnesota Public Radio after the station dismissed him following an allegation of workplace misconduct, according to the Associated Press.

Why it matters: MPR and American Public Media, its parent company, saw 63% of its revenue from public support in 2016, per the AP. But some fans want more of an explanation from the station on why they fired Keillor. One listener, Bridget George, said she wanted to know "what other things were going on" that would've encouraged his firing, since "a lot of politics go into these decisions."
