White House officials are considering banning staff from using their personal cellphones because of cybersecurity concerns, Bloomberg first reported and Axios' Jonathan Swan has confirmed.
Why it matters: President Trump has often complained about a leaky administration, but White House officials said that the ban is only due to cybersecurity concerns, with so many devices connected to the wireless network. Personal cellphones are also not as secure as government-issued devices, which do not allow texting. White House staff fear that the ban would cut them off from friends and family.
