President Trump told Holocaust survivors — in attendance at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum's National Days of Remembrance — that they were "beacons of light" who continued to bring hope to civilization, invoking the words of Elie Wiesel in a condemnation of anti-Semitism:
"This is my pledge to you: we will confront anti-Semitism. We will stamp out hatred. We will condemn prejudice. We will bear witness, and we will act"
