Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said, "I intend to be here for the whole year," when asked on CNN whether he'll stay in his role through 2018. Tillerson also said he has "never questioned" Trump's mental fitness — an issue thrust into the spotlight after journalist Michael Wolff claimed in his new book that top administration officials question the president's intelligence and mental stability.
The backdrop: An NBC report that Tillerson called Trump a moron and subsequent rumors that his relationship with Trump is strained has fueled speculation that Tillerson's job is in danger, but the Secretary of State told CNN that he has received no indication from Trump to that effect.
