Starbucks is going green and pledging $10 million in a collaboration with Closed Loop Partners to develop a coffee cup that is "fully recyclable and compostable... with a three-year ambition.”
Why it matters: Starbucks announced that it is working on a "new bio-liner, made partially from plant-based materials for its paper cup." In February, Dunkin' Donuts announced similar plans to eliminate all foam cups from its stores.
