Facebook Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos attended a secret Tech Solidarity meeting last Friday, according to Recode. The rules of the meeting are that all attendees are granted anonymity unless willing to be outed. Stamos gave Recode permission to print his name.
Why this matters: Tech Solidarity is a group of tech employees concerned about Trump and his administration's potential requirements of Silicon Valley companies, like creating a Muslim registry. It first met after the election, its mission is to discuss how to "mitigate" Trump policies, per its website.
Quick take: As one of Facebook's high ranking execs — Stamos is responsible for the site's security — showing face at an anti-Trump event is pretty controversial.
