The White House believes Chief of Staff John Kelly's personal phone was compromised by unknown actors as long ago as December, Politico reports.
Why it matters: Kelly didn't use the phone frequently in recent months, relying on a government-issued phone, an official told Politico. Still, this presents the possibility that information on the phone could have been accessed by a foreign country or group.
