Russian President Vladimir Putin told students on Friday that whoever leads in artificial intelligence "will be the ruler of the world," per the AP.
Other remarks from Putin:
- Wars will be fought with drones, and "when one party's drones are destroyed by drones of another, it will have no other choice but to surrender."
- Russia will share AI information with other nations, because "it would be strongly undesirable if someone wins a monopolist position."
- AI development brings "colossal opportunities and threats that are difficult to predict now."
