Hours after a 2016 radio interview resurfaced in which he predicted Donald Trump "would be more abusive to the constitution than Barack Obama," EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt headed to the White House for a meeting and a TV hit.
- Pruitt's schedule, seen by Axios, shows him eating lunch at the White House Mess dining facility, attending a National Security Council meeting on energy and climate and taping a Fox News interview on the White House lawn.
- The timing raised questions about whether Trump had summoned Pruitt, but that wasn't the case, per EPA. Asked whether Pruitt would be meeting with or speaking to Trump, EPA Spokesman Jahan Wilcox said "no."
