A new poll from Politico/Morning Consult reveals that 49% of voters believe it is somewhat or very likely that President Trump will be cleared of any wrongdoing by special prosecutor Robert Mueller in 2018. 37%, meanwhile, believe it is not too likely or not at all likely that Trump will be exonerated.
Why it matters: Republican and Democratic voters have drastically different expectations for what 2018 will bring with respect to the Trump-Russia investigation, reflecting a partisan split now shared in the highest levels of the ongoing Congressional investigations.
