The NFL's compensation committee is meeting Monday to discuss an extension of Commissioner Roger Goodell's contract, and he's seeking $49.5 million per year in addition to lifetime use of a private jet and lifetime health insurance for his family, ESPN reports.

Why it matters: It's exceedingly rare for the head of the U.S. intelligence community to make public accusations about a rival power.
