Mitch McConnell said on Fox News Sunday that he's "very confident" Congress will avoid a government shutdown — but he's already shifting blame toward the Democrats in case things get dicey.
"I'm confident Senate Democrats are not going to want to shut down the Government," he said.
Reality check: McConnell is well aware that, barring something unforeseen, blame will fall on the GOP if the government does shut down.
