Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters this afternoon that Senate Republicans have delayed the impending health care vote until after the 4th of July recess to "continue the discussions within our conference on the differences that we have" — though he didn't delve into what exactly those differences might be.
- His catchphrase: He repeatedly called health care a "big, complicated subject."
- Trump's role: "We always anticipated the president would be very important in getting us to a conclusion…we needed to get this far enough down the path to where there were a few issues extant that needed to be closed."
- Getting Democrats involved: "They're not interested in this."
