Majority of voters want Trump to stop tweeting

Nearly 70% of voters believe that President Trump uses Twitter too much and the majority believe that it is having negative effects on his presidency, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.

When asked about Trump's twitter use:

  • 59% view it is a bad thing
  • 51% say it hurts his presidency
  • 51% believe it is bad for national security
  • 53% think it hurts the U.S.'s standing in the world
