After 13 years as a Washington National — the only MLB franchise he played for — Stephen Strasburg retired over the weekend. Barge cranes have begun removing containers from the Dali, the ship that crashed into the Key Bridge two weeks ago. More than 200 tons of debris have been hauled out of the Patapsco River so far. (Washington Post)

Bourbon snobs take note: Montgomery County and the state of Maryland have a luxe booze lottery open until Saturday. Residents can enter to win a shot at buying a 25-year Michter's (one bottle; $1,903) and a 23-year Pappy Van Winkle (two bottles; $381). (MoCo ABS)
