The Twin Cities' first brick-and-mortar bookshop dedicated to romance novels reopens post-renovations this weekend.

What's new: Tropes & Trifles, which debuted as a pop-up late last year, expanded its South Minneapolis storefront from 500 to 800 square feet and added more books and shelving, per the Star Tribune.

The big picture: Specialty bookshops focused on the genre are popping up across the country in response to growing consumer desire.

Stop by: The shop's grand re-opening, scheduled for Saturday from 11am to 6pm, will feature signings by authors Denise Williams and Laura Moher.

  • 📍It's located at 2709 E. 38th St.
