Here's what's happening around the Twin Cities this weekend.
🪘 The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community's annual Wacipi — historically used by Native peoples to gather at the end of a season or recognize a positive event — runs Friday through Sunday. The Pow Wow will feature hundreds of Native American dancers and drum groups, a fireworks display, foods and other vendors.
🎠 The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is back! After skipping 2020, the 50th season begins Saturday and is open every weekend through Oct. 3.
🍺 PanLatino Fest at Minneapolis brewery La Doña Cervecería is all about showcasing Latin American cultures through music, art and food. Open Saturday and Sunday.
⚾️ The St. Paul Saints are bringing back the Fire Department vs Police Department night at CHS Field this Saturday, with proceeds going to each department's respective foundations.
🎵 Celebrate the golden age of children's television (debatably) at the What Dreams are Made Of: Disney Channel Drag Brunch at Crave on Sunday morning. Expect to sing along to all the classics from "Lizzie McGuire," "Hannah Montana" and more.
